About us

A nursery built around love & learning

Early Scholars Nursery was founded with one simple belief: the early years are too important to be ordinary.

Our story

Early Scholars Nursery opened its doors in Almouhat, Ajman with a vision: to create a UK-curriculum nursery that genuinely feels like home — warm, attentive, and joyful. We believe that the way children are welcomed in their earliest years shapes how they relate to learning for the rest of their lives.

Every classroom, every routine, every teacher hire is made with care. We are small enough that every parent meets the principal, and every child is known by name. We are part of the wider Lu-mino education family — bringing modern early-years technology and a curated reading curriculum into a deeply human nursery experience.

Our values

What we stand for

🌱

Grow at your pace

No child is rushed. We meet each one where they are and walk forward together.

🤗

Belong fully

Inclusion isn't a programme — it's how we run the nursery. Every child belongs.

🌍

Two languages, one world

Arabic and English live side by side. We celebrate UAE heritage and global thinking.

📖

Stories at the centre

Books shape minds and hearts. We make reading a daily celebration.

👨‍👩‍👧

Partnership with parents

You are the expert on your child. We learn from you and stay connected daily.

Joy first, always

If children aren't joyful, nothing else works. Joy is our daily measure.

🇬🇧 The British EYFS Way

How British learning feels

The British Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) is not about worksheets or rote memorisation. It's about learning through play — a deliberately designed environment where every corner invites discovery. Here's what that actually looks like in our nursery.

🎭

Learning Through Play

Children don't sit at desks for hours. They build, role-play, paint, dig, measure, and tell stories. Play is the curriculum — and our teachers are trained to weave language, maths, and science into every play moment.

🪵

Loose Parts & Open-Ended Materials

Wooden blocks, pine cones, fabric, shells, mirrors, rope — natural, open-ended materials that have no single "right" use. They build creativity, problem-solving, and confidence in ways that plastic toys never can.

📖

The Reading Corner in Every Room

Every classroom has a soft, warm corner stocked with books — open all day, in any language. Children learn early that books are a friend, not a chore.

🌳

Outdoor Time, Every Day

Rain or shine (well, mostly shine in Ajman), children spend real time outside daily. Physical play, fresh air, and big-body movement aren't extras — they're core to British EYFS.

🔎

Child-Led Inquiry

When a child asks "why does ice melt?" — we don't move on. We follow the question. Curiosity is the engine, and our teachers know how to feed it.

📊

Observation, Not Testing

We don't test 3-year-olds. Instead, teachers carefully observe and document what each child can do — building a real picture of progress that's shared with you termly.

The 7 Areas of British EYFS Learning

Every activity in our nursery — even pretend kitchen play — quietly develops one or more of these areas.
